Pacific VP30 Double Action Door Set -/30/30

 

The VP30DA is a Pyropanel FR board Maxi door.

The Pacific VP30 double action steel framed door set (VP30DA SF) is a 180° pivoting door suitable for interior installation only. The door set configuration may be single leaf or pair, finished with a variety of facings and pivoted in a steel frame.

Bottom seals are not available with this door type.

The thickness of the VP30DA SF door leaf is 48mm with an approximate leaf weight of 27kg/m2

  1. Please note that the maximum leaf width shown above is measured per door leaf.
  2. Double action doors are not available with a smoke rating
  3. Insulation ratings must be notified at time of pricing for steel frames.

Notes:

  1. Of the above facings only those marked * may extend around the door edge.
  2. Steel frames are required where metal capping is used.
  3. Timber veneer requires FRR -/30/30 and is only available with a packed steel frame
  4. Standard Paint Quality doors are allowed ‘non-clashed’ to provide best surface for finish painting.
  5. Paint Quality and veneered doors will have visible phenolic stud heads near the top and bottom of both leaf faces

Frame Types & Profiles

Timber Frame

This door set is not available in a timber frame. Please see the VP30HR DA TF door set for a double action fire door in a timber frame.

Steel Frame

The steel frame profiles listed below are available for the VP30DA SF door set.

Standard frames are three-sided only with no sill. Four-sided frames and/or custom sills may be available on request. Timber sills are not available on fire doorsets. For more in depth information on frame profiles and sizes, please see our Installation Instructions.

Meeting Stiles

The below meeting stiles are applicable to paired door sets only.

Wall Types

Jambs may be connected to timber stud, steel stud or concrete/masonry walls.
The minimum specification for each wall type is:

  • Precast concrete (150mm thickness minimum) or grouted blockwork (140mm thickness minimum).
  • Non-load bearing steel stud partitions of minimum specifications GBS60 (for VP30-DA) or GBS90 (for VP60-DA). Note that 100mm nom. wall framing is necessary where fitting of the head spring hardware is specified.
  • Non-load bearing timber stud partitions of minimum specifications GBT30 (for VP30-DA) or GBT60b (for VP60-DA) or GBT90 (for VP90-DA) (as listed in “Gib® Fire Rated Systems”), all based on minimum 100x50mm framing. Note that minimum 100mm nom. wall framing is necessary where fitting of head spring hardware is specified.

Overpanels

Steel Framed Transom Overpanel Elevations and Details

Overpanels with transom are available to an overall height of 3600mm for single or paired door sets.

Please note that when adding an overpanel to this door set, the permitted height and width of the door leaf reduces to 2040h x 930w.

Additional Door Options

Push or Kickplates

Push plates or kickplates can be of the below permitted materials . These may be surface mounted or recessed flush with the door facing. Fixing by screws or contact adhesive.

Restaurant Function

A modified door set allowing two door leaves to open 90o in opposite directions and closing onto short header-fixed stops is available.

Decorative panels

Decorative panels (e.g. stone, glass, timber or similar) can be added to one face of the door leaf provided:

• Panel is glue fixed (no screws or nails)
• Panel weight is less than 35 kg
• Leaf dimensions are 2400 x 1020 or less

Panels to be installed on site by others. They can be either glued directly to the face of the leaf or onto timber battens glued to the leaf.

If the decorative panel is on the hinge face of the leaf, please specify extended "wide throw" hinges.
Please note that special hardware items may be required (e.g. extended spindles).
Decorative panels are not allowed in conjunction with vision panels.

 

Thermal Insulation

This door leaf has a thermal insulation rating (R-value) of 0.645 Km2/W.
