Pacific VP120-FH Fire Rated Floor Hatch -/120/120
The Pacific VP120-FH Fire Rated Floor Hatch consists of one or two proprietary fire rated non-load bearing panels resting in a pressed steel frame. The steel frame is fixed to a concrete floor.
The access hatch permits the installation of relatively large plant into the ceiling cavity or removal of that equipment for maintenance purposes.
|Configuration||Fire Resistance Rating
|Max Aperture Height (mm)||Max Aperture Width (mm)||Panel Thickness|
- Two hatch panels with a removal mullion between are required to achieve clear apertures greater than 1700 x 500mm. The hatch panel frame must use a 25mm stop.
- A removable steel cover plate is required to obtain 120 minutes of insulation. Insulation rating without the steel plate is limited to 60 minutes.
The leaf edges listed below are available for this panel.
Frame Types & Profiles
The VP120-FH is not available in a timber frame.
The steel frame profiles listed below are available for this panel.
Floor / Ceiling Specifications
Concrete, minimum thickness 150mm.
A reed switch could be fitted to the assembly to monitor closed status.
Lifting eyes may be factory fitted to the panel. Any such hardware should allow for the possibility of fitting load-bearing panels over (see below).
Panel may not be hinged.
The panels are not suitable for any load bearing applications. If safety requirements necessitate load bearing in and around the aperture then chequer plate (or other suitable panel) must be located over the aperture and supported by the floor.
